The cabinas have a great history of hosting travelers for over ten years. While Shannon and Jenn were searching for a place in Costa Rica they stumbled upon Cabinas Atlantic Surf. After experiencing the unique culture of Cahuita and the beauty of the hostel, they knew this was home. In August 2007, Shannon Bracey and Jennifer Slack purchased Cabinas Atlantic Surf.

About Shannon
I first travelled to Costa Rica in 2004. I immediately fell in love with the country because the earth here is so protected and beautiful, the people are so kind, and it is refreshing to be in a country that functions as a democracy without an army. After several more trips here, it was clear to me that this was home. Jennifer and I grew up together, our families are close, and we both share a love of traveling and travelers. Basically, we're just a couple of backpackers looking to experience more of the world through our guests. I am sure our passion and experience will ensure success in our new venture. I look forward to meeting you and will do all I can to make your time in Cahuita as pleasant as possible.

About Jenn
A bit about me. My passions are traveling and meeting new people. Being born and raised on a resort in Minnesota, I guess it was only a matter of time before finding a place of my own. I've spent the last ten years living, traveling and backpacking around the world. It wasn't until talking with my amazing (and a bit crazy) friend Shannon that set off searching in Costa Rica. Our first night in Cahuita set the tone - this was the place. Things only got better and if you believe in fate, that's what happened. Seven months later, I've finished traveling around the world, am a business partner and Shannon is starting our first year in Cahuita. We welcome and look forward to meeting you. We'll do whatever we can to make your stay in Cahuita fantastic...who knows, you may just get bitten by the Costa Rica bug. See you soon.

We both look forward to your visit to the Cabinas!
